One small download, no installer. The app is Developer-ID signed and notarized by Apple, so macOS opens it without warnings.
Download sshbar.dmg from sshbar.app (the button above).
Open the DMG and drag sshbar onto Applications.
Launch it from Applications. It appears as a small icon in the menu bar, top-right of your screen, not in the Dock.
First run: because sshbar is notarized, macOS asks just once to confirm it was downloaded from the internet. There's no "unidentified developer" block to work around.
The first time you open a server in Terminal or iTerm2, macOS asks permission for sshbar to control that app (an Automation prompt). Allow it once and you're set.
A checksum is a fingerprint of the file. To confirm your download is byte-for-byte what we published, run this in your terminal and compare the output to the SHA-256 above:
shasum -a 256 ~/Downloads/sshbar.dmg
